Kettlebells are my favourite equipment to workout with. I have always had a soft spot for them since I spotted them in the gym for the first time in 2008 – they were actually secured by a chain, preventing people from using them outside sessions with an experienced personal trainer. I chose to run the Grand Union Canal Half marathon as my third race this year, to help me get another step closer to achieving my ultimate goal of running 12 half marathons in 12 months. I was really upset last November when I could not run this race due to a knee injury (patellofemoral syndrome, if you are itching to know), therefore I got very excited when Purple Patch Running put on a special spring date to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of this race. In March 2017 I attended a half day Running Workshop at the Drummond Clinic in Maidenhead. I can 100% recommend this place if you need physiotherapy – they have fixed me a couple of times and I have learnt so much here about injury-proofing my body. The clinic does free workshops for runners and triathletes regularly.  This one ran by Alex Drummond was a very hands-on workshop aimed at runners who were keen to perfect their running technique to be able to enjoy the benefits of running efficiently.
